Rose Ann Rinaldo Hook, 89, of Fairmont, passed away Saturday (March 30, 2013) at the Tygart Center at Fairmont Campus.
She was born July 27, 1923 in Fairmont, daughter of the late Sullivan and Maria (Cuccarese) Rinaldo.
Rose was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fairmont, and was employed many years ago at G.C. Murphy’s in Downtown Fairmont. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Connecticut and also an avid WWF wrestling fan.
Rose was survived by her granddaughter, Reyna VanGilder of Morgantown; a son-in-law, Ronnie VanGilder of Fairmont; a brother-in-law, Henry Hook of Connecticut; two nephews, Rocco Rucillo of Clarksburg of Henry Hook Jr. of Connecticut; one niece, Rhona Walsh of Connecticut; a great-niece, Cheryl Reilly, and great-nephew, Robert Jenkins Jr. both of Connecticut.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hook; her daughter, Renee VanGilder; and four sisters, Gina Rinaldo Donofrio, Mafalda Fucillo, Jeanette Dolog and Helen Rinaldo. She was also preceded in death by a niece, Carol Jean Jenkins.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave., in Fairmont, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with Father Robert Perriello officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
