Terry Wayne Ice, 56, of Fairmont, passed away Wednesday (Feb. 19, 2014) at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born in Fairmont on Oct. 16, 1957, a son of the late Presley D. and Helen Evelyn Ice.
Terry proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force from 1976-1980. He was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and attended Fairmont State University. He was most recently employed with Aegis Corp. as a telemarketer and had also worked at Wishing Well Nursing Home and Ace Exterminators.
He was saved and baptized and was a member of Fairmont Christian Assembly in Bellview. He was a caregiver for his parents and enjoyed collecting and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates and the West Virginia Mountaineers.
He is survived by three brothers, David E. Ice and his wife Anne of Woodbridge, Va., Barry L. Ice of Fairmont and Jeffrey P. Ice of Fairmont; one sister, Carol Ice of Fairmont; and three nephews, two nieces, three great-nephews and three great-nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell Lee Ice.
Family and friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, on Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m., with Rev. George Batton officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Marion Unit, 122 S. High St., Morgantown, WV 26501. In keeping with Terry’s wishes, his body will be cremated following the funeral service.
