Christina L. Cox, 89, of Roanoke, Va., formerly of Fairmont, went to be with the Lord on Sunday (March 10, 2013).
She was preceded by her husband, Homer W. Cox.
Mrs. Cox served her country proudly in the Women’s Army Corps during World War II as a medical technician at Ashford General Hospital, which is now the Greenbrier Hotel.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas R. Cox and wife Jeannie of New Manchester, and Robert D. Cox and wife Carol of Roanoke, Va.; daughter, Deborah Harper and husband Rick of Masontown; granddaughters, Amory, Haley and Allena; and great-granddaughter, Lilia.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brandon Oaks Nursing Home for their care and support of Mrs. Cox.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Fairmont.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced.
