— James Patrick “Jim Pat” Sullivan, 59, of Fairmont, passed away Thursday (April 4, 2013) at Fairmont General Hospital.

He was born March 2, 1954, in Fairmont, a son of the late Johnnie Lawrence and Doris Jean Swiger Sullivan.

Jim worked for Pittsburgh X-ray and then as a communications manager in Florida for several years before returning to Fairmont.

He was a NASCAR fan and loved boating and water skiing. He was also a member of the VFW Post 629 in Fairmont.

Jim is survived by his long-time companion, Carol Johnson; brother John and his wife Barbara of Fairmont; and a niece and two nephews and their families.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Joseph Sullivan.

Jim had donated his body to the Human Gift Registry at West Virginia University, and at his request there will be no public service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to VFW Post 629, 802 Fairmont Ave., Fairmont, WV 26554.
