Doris Faust

Doris Naomi Kelly Faust, 93, of Fairmont, passed away Tuesday (Feb. 5, 2013) at Genesis Fairmont Campus Tygart Center.

She was born June 5, 1919, in Delight, Ark., a daughter of the late Irwin and Rebecca J. Baldree. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard A. Faust, in 1995.

Mrs. Faust was a graduate of Quannah High School, Quannah, Texas. After high school, she moved to Denver, Colo., and worked at Lowry Air Force Base during World War II. She met her husband, Barney, in Colorado. They were married and lived in Kansas for a while before moving to West Virginia.

She was a homemaker, dedicated to her family, and to raising her four children in Fairmont and later Buckhannon. She and her late husband also lived in Charleston, where she worked in retail, before retiring to Braxton County.

In the late 1980s they moved to Fairmont to be surrounded by their children, grandchildren and eventually great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She so looked forward to visits from the little ones, watching football and reading. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed preparing special meals for family and friends. • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
