Nancy Reynolds

FAIRMONT — Nancy Lou (Tarleton) Reynolds, 69, of Fairmont, passed away Sunday (March 10, 2013) at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

She was born in Fairmont on Sept. 11, 1943, a daughter of the late Paul Tarleton and Bertha Mae (Hagen) Tarleton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Reynolds, in 2010.

Nancy was a loving homemaker, devoted mother, grandmother and proud great-grandmother. In addition, she worked at several places in the Fairmont area including G.C. Murphy’s, Bell’s Furniture, Educational Resource Center and Dairy Creme Corner.

She is survived by two children and their spouses, John and Becky Reynolds of North Carolina, and Rose and Victor Vandergrift of Fairmont, with whom she made her home; a brother, Jack Tarleton and his wife Marilyn of Connecticut; five very special grandchildren, Eric Vandergrift, Christopher “CJ” Vandergrift, Nicole Vandergrift, Brittany Reynolds and Mandi Reynolds; and a great-grandson, Brodie Vandergrift.

In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, her body will be cremated with a private memorial service to be held at a later date.

  • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
