Donna Gallaher

Donna Lee (Smith) Gallaher, age 73, of Grafton, entered into eternal life on Tuesday (Sept. 24, 2013) at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, George Gallaher; as well as four children, Deborah Lee (Gallaher) Moynihan of Trinidad, Colo., Daniel George Gallaher of Grafton, Susan Marie (Gallaher) Buchanan of Grafton, and Kathryn Jean (Gallaher) DeCerbo of Pinehurst, N.C.; along with 10 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends can visit with Donna’s family at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard McDonald and assistant pastor Jonathan Menear officiating. Procession to the Woodsdale Cemetery in Grafton will follow. In lieu of flowers, it is requested donations be made in Donna’s memory to Beulah Baptist Church at: 2746 George Washington Highway, Grafton, WV 26354

  • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
