Charlotte Evans

Times West Virginian

— Charlotte Rose (Semans) Evans, 83, of Meadowdale, went to be with her Lord and Savior, as well as her best friend and husband George, on Wednesday (Sept. 25, 2013) surrounded by loved ones.

Charlotte was born July 8, 1930, in Morgantown, to William Robert and Margaret Hollice Semans.

Charlotte touched the lives of many people during her career as a registered nurse at Fairmont General Hospital. However, her warm heart and soul made the biggest impact on her family, whom she loved more than life itself. Charlotte was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, best friend, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her sense of humor brightened the lives of her family, and she made her house feel like a home. Charlotte enjoyed sunflowers, vacationing to the beach and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband (and best friend), George Edward Evans; her brother, Robert Semans; and her sister, Barbara Ash.

She is survived by her five children, George Robert and Samantha Evans of Andrews, S.C., Judy and Rodney Greaser, Thomas Evans, Linda Evans, Patty and Bill Reese, all of Fairmont; eight grandchildren, Robert and Brandi Evans, George Cody Evans and Holly Irene Evans of Andrews, S.C., Jessica Greaser, Emily Paige Greaser and Hilary Greaser of Fairmont, Heather Reese and Matt Reese of Pleasant Valley. Charlotte also is survived by four beautiful great-grandchildren, Aubrey Greaser of Fairmont, three miracles, triplets Randa, Dane and Dallon Evans of Andrew, S.C.; as well as two nephews.

“Sometimes I feel my heart is breaking but I stay strong and I hold on ’cause I know I will see you again. This is not where it ends. I will carry you with me ’til I see you again.”

The Evans family would like to thank Hospice Corp. for their care this past week, and a special thanks to Dr. Hassani.

Family and friends may call at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont, from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with D.D. Meighan officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Condolences may sent online to the family at
