— Christopher Thomas “Chris” Miller, 34, of Farmington, passed from this life Friday (Oct. 18, 2013) at Ruby Memorial Hospital, as the result of an accident.

He was born in Fairmont on July 2, 1979, a son of Thomas Ray and Patricia Ann Welch Miller of Boothsville.

Chris was a fun-loving outdoorsman who enjoyed working and providing for his family. He had worked as a coal miner and shift foreman for C.S.A. Mining, and was admired and respected by his peers. He was Baptist by faith and trusted in God. He enjoyed hunting, playing golf, riding four wheelers, was a West Virginia University and Steeler fan and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of seven and a half years, Casey Murphy Miller; his daughter, Kayla Miller; his sons, Christian Miller of Farmington and Andrew Hamilton of Barrackville; one brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Tiffany Miller of Mannington and their sons Nathan and Evan; his uncle, Ed Miller of Boothsville; sister-in-law, Crystal Smith and her sons Cory and Brenden Smith; brothers-in-law, Josh (Kendra) Winter of Frederick, Md., and Ethan (Candace) Winter of Hagerstown, Md.; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Tricia Ann Miller; his paternal grandparents, George and Erma Miller; his maternal grandparents, Glen and Mary Ruth Welch; and three aunts, Linda Viney, Diane Miller, Susan Marshall and Uncle Robert.

Friends may call at the Frey Home For Funerals (Addition Chapel A) today from 2 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Orville Wright officiating. Interment will follow at the Clermont Cemetery.
