Glenn Little III

Glenn Little III passed away on Tuesday (Nov. 5, 2013) at the age of 68 years.

Glenn was born in Upper Darby, Pa., to Olive Mae and Glenn Little Jr. He was raised in Fairmont and graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in performing arts. Glenn furthered his education, attending Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where he graduated with a master’s degree in applied music.

In 1972, he and his wife, Pamela, moved to Florida from Parkersburg, living in Mount Dora, Tavares and finally settling in Lady Lake. Glenn taught at Mount Dora High School as a band director from 1972 until 1977. Glenn shifted his focus and became a Certified Financial Planner and owned and operated GP Investment Services Inc. in Leesburg, and served Lake County clients for 34 years. After closing his business, he served as a financial planner for Allstate in Mount Dora and Lady Lake for four years. Glenn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis and the Mount Dora F & AM-Masonic Lodge No. 238.

Glenn loved the outdoors, enjoying a good game of golf, horseback riding or shooting clay pigeons. He was preceded in death by his parents. Glenn is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 46 years, Pamela; daughters, Nancy Baris and her husband Todd of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Sherry Boulay and her husband Brent of Tampa, Fla.; sisters, Patty (Floyd) Lewis of Littleton, Colo., and Jenny (Jerry) Beafore of Fairmont; as well as two grandchildren, Elise Boulay and Benjamin Boulay.

A memorial ceremony will be held today at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis in Eustis, Fla. Friends are invited to gather for one hour prior to the service time. Masonic services will follow the memorial ceremony.

The family requests that memorial donations be made in his honor to Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162; www.cshospice.org; or the American Cancer Society, 1650 W. Main St., Suite 3, Leesburg, FL 34748; www.cancer.org.

  • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
