Eric Reynard Nine, 59, of Grant Town, passed away Sunday (March 2, 2014) in Grant Town with his wife at his side.
Eric was born in Washington, D.C., to David and Florence Nine, on Feb. 6, 1955.
He graduated from Fairview High School in Fairview. He married Darlene (Sapp) Nine on Nov. 28, 1996, in Smock, Pa.
Eric worked in the construction industry for many years, most recently as foreman for Rock Inc., and was also a union carpenter with the Carpenters Union in Fairmont. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the peace time military. Eric was an avid sports enthusiast and fisherman.
Eric was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Dawn Nine; his father, David Allen Nine; and sister, Deborah Clair Nine.
Eric is survived by his loving wife, Darlene; his son, David Allen Nine II of Grant Town; Heather Murphy of Point Marion, Pa., and Patrick Murphy of Morgantown; his sisters and their spouses, Valerie and Robert Tennant of Fairmont, and Melanie and Steven Thompson of Grant Town; his mother, Florence Nine of Grant Town; his grandchildren, David Allen Nine III and Andrew Dylan Nine, Madison Page and Trey Murphy; a father- and mother-in-law, Roger and Beverly Sapp of Masontown; as well as several cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington. Inurnment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
