Ruthann Tracey Shroyer, 67, of Fairmont, passed away Thursday (Aug. 29, 2013) at Golden Living Center Portsmouth, Va.
She was born June 7, 1946, in Monongah, the daughter of the late Thomas Katzenberger and Mary Virginia (Kendall) Tracey.
She is survived by two daughters, Tracey S. Liming and friend Victor McQaig of Louisville, Ky., and Kimberly (Shroyer) Osieczonek and husband Stephen Osieczonek of Norfolk, Va.; and one stepdaughter, Joyce Townsend of Mill Fall. She is also survived by one brother, Thomas K. Tracey of Taylorville, Ill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Shroyer; one brother, Robert Tracey; and a stepson, Charles Shroyer.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed many things, including traveling with her daughter. She was a particular lover of animals and making crafts. In her earlier years, she worked as a Girl Scout leader, was active in both Monongah and Busy Bison 4-H Clubs, and enjoyed working as homeroom mother. Her energy and enthusiasm will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank Golden Living Centers in both Morgantown and Portsmouth for providing comfort in her final days.
In keeping with her wishes, she will have no viewing or service, but will have a quiet burial next to her husband at Davis Ridge Cemetery on Mill Fall Run Road.
