Clarence Ray Grubb, 80, of Rt. 9, Fairmont, passed away Tuesday evening (Oct. 8, 2013) in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born Nov. 1, 1932, in McCurdysville, son of the late Hubert and Estelle Morris Grubb. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Toothman Grubb, in 1991.
Mr. Grubb was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Fairmont. He retired from the Marion County Board of Education as a warehouse supervisor, with 25 years of service. He was earlier employed with Fairmont Wall Plaster as a salesman, serving for 19 years. Mr. Grubb was a graduate of Rivesville High School.
Survivors include two sons and their spouses, Clifford Ray and Michelle Grubb of Greenville, S.C., and Kevin and Tammy Grubb of Morgantown; a daughter and her husband, Janice and Kenneth Zraik of Toledo, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Alicha, Christopher, Johanna and Joseph Grubb of Greenville, S.C., Nathan, David, Mary, Jacob and Rachel Zraik of Ohio and Heather, Tyler and Chelsie Grubb of Morgantown; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Junior Grubb of Fairmont; a sister, Catherine Brummage of Fairmont; and an aunt, Norine Morris of Rivesville.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Calvin Grubb; and a sister, Angenora Tennant.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Glenn Stevenson Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
