Emily I. Buda, 87, of 1688 Mary Lou Retton Drive, Fairmont, died Thursday (Aug. 22, 2013).

She was born Aug. 29, 1925, in Homestead, Pa., the fifth daughter of Robert and Emily Miller Strang. She was the widow of Joseph Anthony Buda, whom she was married to for 39 years.

Emily devoted her life to her family and helped her husband with the family business they owned and operated (Buda Plumbing and Heating) for 24 years in Morgantown.

  • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
