Cora Marie Martin, 85, of Farmington, died Tuesday (May 14, 2013) in Fairmont General Hospital in Fairmont.
She was born Dec. 23, 1927, at No. 9 near Farmington, a daughter of the late Luther E. Hartman and Clara Kelsing Hartman.
Mrs. Martin worked as a waitress in various restaurants in the area, and she was a Methodist by faith.
Surviving are three sons and their spouses, Eddie Metz and wife Linda of Charleston, Terry Metz and wife Debbie of Hundred, and Roy Metz and wife Cathy of Parkersburg; two daughters and their spouses, Alice Keechel and husband Bill of Westover, and Nancy Collier and husband Less of Port Charlotte, Fla.; four sisters, Faye Brzgott of Cleveland, Ohio, Dutch Bryant of Clarksburg, Nellie Atkins of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mary Partridge of New Martinsville; a loving companion and best friend, Bud Long of Hundred; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Metz; her second husband, Orval Martin; one brother, Terry Hartman; and two sisters, Gertrude Hartman and Nettie Hartman.
At the request of the deceased, her body will be cremated. There will not be any services.
The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.
