Doris Marie Rogers passed from this life Monday (March 10, 2014) at her home in Fairmont.
She was born Nov. 8, 1931, in Wendell, and was Lutheran by faith. She was the daughter of the late Paul John and Euelia Taylor Phillips.
Doris was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School, Class of 1949. She was previously employed by the Marion County Health Department, the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation, Department of Corrections, Fairmont State University and West Virginia University.
She was an avid reader. She had read hundreds of books and really enjoyed her Kindle. She also loved to watch “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy.”
She is survived by one son, Robert A. Rogers and his wife Kim. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Megan Haught and her husband Ryan, Linsey Reynolds and her husband Tommy, Jessica Duling and her husband Matt, Jennifer Alonso and Jordan Alonso; seven great-grandchildren, Ansley, Layne, Haylan and Beckley Haught, Jaxx Reynolds, and Eli and Lex Duling; and by five nieces and one nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Rogers, and a brother, Paul John Phillips.
