William Paul Henderson, 82, of Belington, passed away Monday (March 4, 2013) at his residence.
He was born March 17, 1930 in Allegheny County, Pa., a son of the late Charles Nicholas Henderson and Marjory Mae (McKinney) Henderson.
He was married to the late Alice Loraine (Nestor) Henderson, who passed away Jan. 30, 2012.
He is survived by one daughter, Judy Annon and husband Randy of Grafton; four sons, Doug Henderson and wife Kim of Philippi, Jerry Henderson and wife Theresa of Valley Bend, Thomas R. Henderson of Philippi, and Terry H. Henderson and wife Teresa, also of Philippi; four grandchildren, Heather Garner, Gina Morgan, Brian Henderson and Jennifer Rader; six great-grandchildren, Carleigh, Christopher, Braylon, Marcus, Isabel and Hadley; one sister, Marge Ballard and husband Jim of Grafton; one brother, James Henderson of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Robert Henderson.
Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. He was the manager of the Mobil Service Station in Philippi for 23 years and was Methodist by faith.
There will be no funeral home visitation. Graveside services will be held at noon Friday at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown with Pastor Steven A. Edwards officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the VFW Memorial City Post 3081, Taylor County Post 12 American Legion, D.A.V. Chapter 24 of Grafton and the U.S. Marine Corps Kilo Company 325 from North Versailles, Pa.
Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton is in charge of the arrangements.
