Almonta “Rae” Hamilton, 74, of Proctor, died Friday (April 12, 2013) at Mound View Health Care Center, Moundsville.
She was born April 18, 1938, in Littleton.
Rae was a member of Graysville United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, Graysville Community Association, TOPS and a former member of the Graysville/Proctor Lions Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. “Jack” Hamilton; her mother, Olive Murphy Frye Hibbs; three brothers, George Freeman, John and Harold Frye; and her mother-in-law, Mary Hamilton.
Survivors include three daughters, Susan (Paul) Winland of Moundsville, Betty Hamilton and Linda Hamilton, both of Proctor; and two grandsons, L.J. Winland and Zachary Winland, both of Moundsville.
The family wishes a special thank you to her wonderful caregivers at Moundsview.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today and from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Mary Ann Nolte officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
