Anita Louise Bowman, 51, of Fairmont, passed away Sunday (Dec. 1, 2013) at her home.
She was born in Fort Meade, Md., on April 2, 1962, a daughter of the late James Bowman and Vivian (Jones) Bowman Ashcraft.
Anita was a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son, Michael Davis Jr. of Fairmont; three daughters, Oundria Smith of Fairmont, Jessica Pate and her husband Barry of California, and Cassie Davis of Lost Creek; and 14 grandchildren, Kiersten Pate, Kaileigh Pate, Micheyla Evans, Kacey Evans, Camron Evans, Timothy Smith, Andrew Smith, Matthew Parrish, Isaiah Evans, Xavier Evans, Raiden Davis, Kitana Davis, Mason Davis and Gabriel Evans.
Also surviving is a sister, Jamie Daughtery of Maryland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Bowman, and a sister, Lehale Rice.
Family and friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. The funeral service will be held at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover immediately following calling hours Friday with Dr. Tim Rice officiating. Interment will follow at the cemetery.
