Candice Newbraugh Flint, 30, of California and formerly of Fairmont, passed away Sunday (April 6, 2014) as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born in Riverside, Calif., on April 2, 1984, a daughter of Thomas Newbraugh of Fairmont and Yvonne Blair of California.
Candice worked as a nurse’s aide in the health care and perpetual care field. She graduated from East Fairmont High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her children.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, Trenton Flint and Kody Flint, both of California, and one daughter, Isabella Flint, of California.
Also surviving are her maternal grandparents, Jake and Michelle Blair of California; her paternal grandmother, Jean Newbraugh of Fairmont; three brothers, Brian Newbraugh, of Lompoc, Calif., Jonathan Newbraugh, of Fairmont, and Steven Omstead, Jr., of California; three sisters, Brandie Newbraugh, of Fairmont, and Brittany Blair and Jaqueline Martinez, both of California, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Dana Newbraugh, and her maternal grandmother, Marion Blair.
In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, her body has been cremated.
The family will receive friends at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, on Saturday from 9-11 a.m. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Josh Morgan officiating. Interment of her ashes will follow at Arnettsville Cemetery in Monongalia County.
