Anna Pearl Berry

Anna Pearl Berry, 93, of Jakes Run, died Thursday (April 17, 2014) at her residence.

She was born April 16, 1921, at Core, a daughter of the late James Rose and Ida Bowen Rose.

Mrs. Berry was a homemaker. Anna enjoyed her home, gardening, working with her flowers in the summer time, making quilt tops, cooking, country music and collecting dolls.

Anna was a member of the Mooresville Church of Christ.

Surviving are one son and his wife, Waldo A. Berry Jr. and Mabel of Carmichaels, Pa.; four daughters and their spouses, Shirley and Gregg Barbe of Mt. Morris, Pa., Lisa Berry of Mt. Morris, Pa., Pauline and Jim Parrish of Core, and Rhonda and Bill Bradshaw of Fairmont; one sister, Irene Nagy of Granville; 11 grandchildren, Valerie Copeland of Columbia, S.C., Mack “Bub” King of Mt. Morris, Lynn King of Morgantown, Craig Parrish of Richardson, Texas, Jason Parrish of Bridgeport, Meredith Parrish Cassidy of Austin, Texas, Jennifer Berry Wolf of Carmichaels, Pa., John Berry of Mt. Lebanon, Pa., Aimee Berry Moon of Springhill, Fla., Scott Bradshaw of Fairmont and Rachel Bradshaw of Fairmont; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Waldo A. Berry, who died on June 22, 2005; a grandson, Shawn Parrish; six sisters, Lena Allen, Midge Ullery, Marie Wilson, Ida May (BoPeep) Woody, Ethel Rose and Mary Rose; and two brothers, James Rose and Leland Rose.

Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason Dixon Highway, Blacksville, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. In observance of Easter, there will not be any visitation or services on Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at noon Monday with Evangelist Nick Dieger officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery at Mooresville.
