Katherine G. “Kitty” (Reger) McCrobie, 77, a longtime resident of Rosewood Health Care Center in Grafton, passed away Friday (Jan. 18, 2013).
She was born June 28, 1935 in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Alexander and Alice Reger.
She is survived by 10 children, Harold Reger and wife Debbie of Clarksburg, Diana Bess and husband Jim of Stafford, Va., Robin Reed and husband David of West Union, Howard Reger and wife Ester of Cleveland, Ohio, Steve Regar and wife Sarah of Fairmont, Marsha Coon of Warrenton, Va., Tammy “Marcie” McCrobie of Arizona, Jennifer Paxton and husband Brian of Ravenswood, Hershel Reger and wife Christine of Thornton, and Charles McCrobie and wife Katherine of Thornton; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Willard Reger of Fairmont.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester McCrobie; four sisters, Mary Jane Vincent, Ann DeVault, Phyllis Vincent and Geraldine Mullens; and two brothers, Walter Reger and Darius “Bud” Reger.
Kitty was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bill Reger officiating. Following the service, Mrs. McCrobie will be cremated.
