Rose Zella Mae Sloan Weiner, 74, of Fairmont, died Friday (July 12, 2013) at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born April 16, 1939, in Rachel, a daughter of the late Cecil and Margaret Long Sloan.
Mrs. Weiner retired from Ruby Memorial Hospital after 20 years of service as a clinical associate and unit clerk. After retirement, she also worked at the Red Roof Inn in Fairmont.
She loved to quilt and embroider and loved her cats. She was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include two children, Louis Weiner Jr. and Diann Satterfield, both of Fairmont; a brother, Cecil Sloan Jr.; and a sister, Mary Josephine Sloan Monette, both of Florida; three grandchildren, Owen Weiner, Heaven Satterfield King and Jake Satterfield; one great-granddaughter, Kylie Weiner; and a son-in-law, Brad Satterfield.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis P. Weiner Sr., who died in 1978.
Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington on Tuesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery. Condolences may be accessed at www.hutsonfuneralhomes.com.
