Victoria “Vicki” Lynn Riffee, 62, of Fairmont, passed away Thursday (May 23, 2013) at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Vicki was born March 13, 1951, in Fairmont, daughter of the late George Herbert Smith and Barbara Jean (Moran) Smith.
Vicki was a former employee of Jones Department Store, the Marion County Circuit Clerk’s office and the Marion County Board of Education, where she was employed as payroll supervisor.
She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Fairmont, active in Beta Sigma Thai Sorority since 1971, and involved in Sharing & Caring and Relay for Life.
Vicki was a West Virginia University sports fan, Pittsburgh Steelers fan and Fairmont State University basketball fan. She had a large circle of family and friends who were very close to her and loved dearly. She was godmother to Amanda Hayes and Logan Cavicchio.
Survivors include her husband, Mitchel Everett Riffee; a son, Matthew Everett Riffee of Fairmont; two brothers, Steve Smith and wife Sherry of Fairmont, and Craig Smith and wife Christie of Germany; four sisters, Nancy Spragg and husband Rick of Pittsburgh, Cindy Brown and husband Tom of Fairmont, Robin Price and husband Al of Georgia, and Christie Smith of Georgia; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved in West Virginia and South Carolina; her much-beloved extended family in Texas; and her granddog Remo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela S. McDonald.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont, Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 2-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held Tuesday in the funeral home at 10 a.m. with Father Robert Perriello officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
