Judy Jacobin

Judy Ilene Handley Jacobin, 70, of Grant Town, died Thursday (March 21, 2013) at Fairmont General Hospital.

She was born Dec. 3, 1942, in Seminole, a daughter of the late Otis and Dorothy Beebe Handley.

She was a homemaker and worked at various jobs in the area. She was a Christian by faith who loved gospel music and reading her Bible, in which she was well versed. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Survivors include four children, Andrea Hays and husband Mark of Buckhannon, Toni Thorne of Grant Town, Lisa Manzo and husband Danny of Etters, Pa., and Johnny Jacobin of Rivesville; seven grandchildren, Allie Hays, Tyler Thorne, Ryan and Kristen Manzo, Toni Jo Yuchek, Jensen and Brody Jacobin; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Otis “Junior” and Connie Handley of Florida and Don and Betsy Handley of Enterprise; a sister- and brother-in-law, Sandy and Gary Mullenax of Idamay; her former husband and his wife, John and Jean Jacobin of Rivesville; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and in-laws, whom she dearly loved.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Monte Handley.

Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington on Sunday from 1-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Chad Hutson officiating.   • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
