Loretta Wilson

Loretta Fay Hinerman Wilson, 65, of Norway Community, Fairmont, died Thursday (May 2, 2013) at her residence.

She was born March 23, 1948, in Fairmont, a daughter of Hellen Kelly Hinerman Snyder of Bingamon Community and the late Ford Hinerman. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lewis Wilson Sr., on Nov. 18, 2006.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Tony Wilson of Fairmont, James and Jennifer Wilson of Fairmont, and Denny and Heather Wilson of Valley Bend; two brothers, Randy and Mary Hinerman of Bingamon Community, and Gary and Michelle Hinerman of Morgantown, Pa.; six grandchildren, James L. Wilson III, Jenna Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Austin Wilson, Khloe Wilson and Zoie Howell, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Reid, Wilma Kay Hinerman and Dottie Umstead.

Mrs. Wilson was a local care giver in the Fairmont area. She was a member of the Bingamon Chapel, where she was a choir member and was a volunteer for the Vacation Bible School program. Loretta enjoyed quilting, working with ceramics and hosting chicken roasts, and loved being with her church family and grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice Care of Anmoore, for their loving care and support.

The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, today from 3-9 p.m. The casket will lie in state in the Bingamon Chapel from 11 a.m.-noon Sunday. The funeral service will be held in the church at noon on Sunday with Pastor Steve Morgan officiating. The committal service will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens.

  • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
