Donald R. Hayes, 61, of Clifton, N.J., died Thursday (Oct. 25, 2012).
Born in Fairmont, he has resided in Clifton for the past 55 years. Donald was employed as a salesman at the Apple Computer Store prior to his retirement in 2007. He was previously employed by Hitachi and the 3M Corp.
Donald was a member of the Clifton Ham Radio Club. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1969-1971.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Kristin Vetter and husband Tommy, of Farmingdale, N.Y.; a son, Tommy Hayes and wife Kristi of Chatham; two grandchildren, Kayla Urban and Brendan Vetter; four brothers, Ronald and wife Ann of Reston, Va., Dennis and wife Patricia of West Richland, Wash., Michael and wife Suzanne of Washington, N.J., and Kevin and wife Lisa of Kendall Park, N.J.; an aunt, Eva Bierman of Washington, N.C.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
