— Kathryn “Kitty” Virginia Morgan, 97, of Westminster, Md., died Friday (Nov. 9, 2012) at Carroll Lutheran Village Healthcare Center.

Born Nov. 10, 1914 in Fairmont, she was the daughter of the late Mack U. and Icie Huffman Vincent. She was the wife of the late Russell H. Morgan, formerly of WTTR, for 69 years and who died in December 2005.

She graduated from East Fairmont High School in West Virginia in 1932. In addition to being a homemaker for most of her life, Mrs. Morgan enjoyed her family and their activities. Her interests included traveling, cooking, professional football and gardening. She was a lifetime member of the Carroll County Hospital Auxiliary, a former member of the Melrose Homemakers Club and a member of the Carroll County Association for Family and Community Education.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Linda A. (Morgan) and Robert D. Payne of Westminster; grandchildren and spouses, Angela and Josh Lindenmuth of York, Pa., and David and Lauren Payne of Ashburn, Va.; great-grandchildren, Justin and Carter Lindenmuth, and Eva and Skara Payne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie W. McDougal; and three brothers, George L. Vincent, Arnold J. Vincent and Donald M. Vincent.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, MD 21157, with the Rev. Douglas Hoffman officiating. A private interment will be at Meadow Branch Cemetery near Westminster.
