— Dorothy “Dottie” Tomano Roscoe, 70, of Kellytown, died Saturday (March 9, 2013) at her residence following an extended illness.  

She was born April 14, 1942 in Idamay, a daughter of the late Adolph “Tippy” and Janette Bowman Tomano.

Dottie was formerly employed at Westinghouse in Fairmont, and later worked in sales at the Manchin Carpet Center.  

She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Farmington and a 1961 graduate of Farmington High School.  

She enjoyed traveling, dancing and gathering with her classmates. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she especially loved family gatherings and being with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Mike Roscoe Sr., whom she married Feb. 21, 1963; four children, Maria Larry and husband Stephen, Michael Roscoe Jr. and wife Amy, Alice Roscoe, and Antonio Roscoe and wife Angela, all of Kellytown; eight grandchildren, Hannah and Emma Larry, Mary, Olivia, Isacc, Anthony, Sarah and Ava Roscoe; a great-granddaughter, Ella Faye Stoller; five siblings, Betty Coble, Hazel Kelly and Elaine Cogar, all of Ohio, Jean De Fazio of Monongah and John Tomano of Idamay; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Harker; and a brother, Dennis Tomano.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bharti, the staff of Amedysis Hospice and all her caregivers for their care and compassion during Dottie’s illness.

Friends may call at Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington from 7-9 p.m. today and from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday. A biblical wake service will be held in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Farmington with the Rev. Father Douglas B. Sutton as celebrant. Interment will be in IOOF Cemetery at Farmington.
