Donald Eugene Ogden, 71, of Farmington, passed away Wednesday (May 1, 2013).
He was born in Clarksburg on May 24, 1941, to the late Garnet Robert Ogden and Lucy Virginia Kellar Ogden.
Donald attended Farmington High School and the Marion County Vocational-Technical Center. He was retired from Bethlehem Mines.
In the earlier part of this life he worked in Cleveland, Ohio. He was also a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Jean Morgan Ogden; his two daughters and their spouses, Wendy Janeen Cokeley Elshehri and Ahmed Elshehri of Farmington, and Heather Renae Fisher and Bradford Fisher of Shinnston; three grandchildren, Nicholas Caleb Cokeley, Austin Clay Fisher and Lexie Sonae Fisher; two brothers, Denzil Ogden and Joyce Ogden of Barrackville, and Ira Ogden of Farmington; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Alice Layne; brother-in-law, Bradley Layne; sister-in-law, Florence Ogden; one daughter, Stacie Maria Ogden; and one grandson, Sonny Keon Fisher.
Friends may call at Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington from 3-9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, the time of the service, where services will be held with Evangelist Randy Cook officiating. Mr. Ogden will be laid to rest in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmington.
