Susan Marshall

Susan Anne Marshall, 57, of Shinnston, passed suddenly from this life, in her home, Monday (March 18, 2013).

She was born in Fairmont, on July 8, 1955, a daughter of the late George Thomas and Erma Mae Hanning Miller.

She was an active member of the Boothsville Baptist Church. She worked as a computer assistant with the FBI, with 21 years of service. She loved being around people and cooking and baking for them whether for work or family gatherings. She enjoyed traveling and had taken two Alaskan cruises. She enjoyed cryptic and number puzzles as well as Facebook games.

Mrs. Marshall is survived by two brothers and one sister-in-law, Ed Miller and Tom and Patricia Miller, both of Fairmont, several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews; two stepdaughters, Jennifer and Alicia Marshall, both of Clarksburg; two step-grandsons, Nathan Marshall and Brenden Been.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of five years, Robert James Marshall, on Sept. 18, 2005; her sister, Linda Viney; and a sister-in-law, Diane Miller.

Friends may call at the Frey Home For Funerals (Addition Chapel A), 320 Madison St., Fairmont, from 6 to 8 p.m. today, from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Services will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Orville Wright officiating. Interment will follow at the Clermont cemetery.

  • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
