Fredrick Lee Corwin

Fredrick Lee Corwin, 51, of Keene, Texas, formerly of Rivesville, departed from this life Saturday (Sept. 22, 2012) at his residence.

He was born June 4, 1961, in Fairmont, son of Delbert Vaughn Corwin I of Rivesville and the late Bonnie Corwin Campbell of Texas.

Fred was survived by his close personal friend, Gerald (Gerry) Raymond of Texas; one sister, Tina Lou Corwin of Rivesville; three brothers, Kenneth James Corwin, Jon Alan and Trina Corwin of Virginia and James (Jimmy) Thomas Corwin; two stepsisters, Kelly Moore and Katie Johnson also of Rivesville; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Fred was preceded in death by his his mother, Bonnie Lou Corwin Campbell; his stepmother, Roxanne Harding Corwin; his grandmother, Dorothy Duvall Corwin; and one brother, Delbert (Bobo) Corwin II.

In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, his body will be cremated with a memorial service to be held at First Methodist Church, Main Street, Rivesville, Monday at 11 a.m. Internment will follow at Beverly Hill Memorial Gardens, Route 19, Morgantown.

  • Nuke-arms grade stock has been cut by Iran

    Iran has converted three quarters of a nuclear stockpile that it could have turned quickly into weapons-grade uranium into less volatile forms and is well on the way toward transforming the rest, the U.N. atomic agency reported Thursday.
    The development — agreed to by Iran under a nuclear deal it struck late last year with six world powers — leaves Tehran with substantially less of the 20-percent enriched uranium that it would need for a nuclear warhead.
