Ida Mae “Bo Peep” Woody, 84, of Granville, passed away Sunday (Nov. 24, 2013) at Mapleshire Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Dec. 25, 1928, in Core, a daughter of the late Orville and Ida Olive Bowen Patterson.
Ida loved working around her home. If she wasn’t outside working in her flower beds or gardening, she could be found inside cooking and cleaning. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, and was a Methodist by faith.
Ida is survived by one daughter, Mary Duelley and husband Bernard of Morgantown; one son, James Woody of Florida; two sisters, Helen Irene Nagy and Pearl Berry; one granddaughter, Ashlee Muniz and husband Brian; and great-granddaughter, Aubree Muniz.
Ida was preceded in death by her husband, George Woody; three sisters, Lillian Ullery, Marie Wilson and Lena Allen; and one brother, James Rose.
Friends may call at Kingdom Evangelical Methodist Church, 540 Fairmont Road, from 3-7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastors Gary Steele and Claude Kinty officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
