Mary Lou Walsh, 86, of Fairmont, entered into eternal life Friday (Aug. 30, 2013) at St. Barbara’s Nursing Home in Monongah.
She was born Sept. 8, 1926, in Masontown, the daughter of the late Leslie A. and Effie Jo Pyles Liston.
She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, and was a member of St. Ann’s Guild. She also enjoyed sewing and reading. Mary was also a homemaker.
Survivors are two sons and one daughter-in-law, James A. and Rhona Walsh Jr. of Seymour, Conn., and Ralph P. Walsh of Fairmont; three grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, James A. Walsh Sr.; one half-brother, Paul Liston; two half-sisters, Pauline Davis and Anna Belle De Gasperin; and one sister-in-law, Martha Liston.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. today and from 9-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Frey Home for Funerals (Historic Chapel). Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Father Robert Perriello as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.
