Francis Lucas Warder Jr., 66, of Fairmont, died suddenly Thursday morning (Oct. 17, 2013) at his residence.
He was born on Nov. 13, 1946, son of the late Honorable Francis Lucas Warder Sr. and Virginia Sinclair Shaw Warder.
Francis was an attorney in the Clarksburg and Fairmont area for many years. He graduated from Grafton High School in 1964, West Virginia University in 1968 and the West Virginia University School of Law in 1971. He served in the U.S. Army and also served as past commander of the 459th Engineering Unit. He was Baptist by faith.
He was a member of the American Bar Association, West Virginia Bar Association and a former member of the Harrison County Bar Association.
Francis is survived by his wife, Sharon Findley Warder of Fairmont; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Christopher Trent Warder of Morgantown, and Matthew and Liza Warder of Annapolis, Md.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Fairfax Warder.
Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Ave., Fairmont, on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Baptist Temple, 430 Morgantown Ave., with Rev. Dr. Holley Faulkner officiating.
