Julia Elizabeth Koloskie, 86, of Monongah, died Monday (Sept. 2, 2013) at Fazio’s Elder Care in Monongah.
She was born Oct. 21, 1926, daughter of the late James and Susan Tartel Monell.
Julia was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Monongah, where she was involved with several church activities in her younger years. She also enjoyed cooking, feeding the birds and spending time with her grandchildren.
Julia is survived by her husband of 66 years, John Koloskie Jr. of Monongah, and her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Annette Koloskie of Las Vegas, Nev. She is also survived by three grandchildren, John, James and Megan Koloskie, and one great-grandchild, Kaydence Koloskie, all of Las Vegas, Nev.; and is also survived by one sister, Lydia Monell of Monongah, and one sister-in-law, Elaine Monell of Dayton, Ohio. Also surviving are nieces Cindy (Bob) Summers of Dayton, Ohio, and Valerie (Bob) Zack of Dayton, Ohio, and nephews Mark (Sarah) Monell of Nicholsville, Ky., and Ray (Mindy) Monell of Beaver Creek, Ohio.
Friends may call at Ross Funeral Home, 801 Fairmont Ave., Fairmont, on Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Monongah at 11 a.m., with Father Richard Ulam, O.S.B. as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Monongah.

The rosary led by Deacon Lou Belldina will recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
