— Mary Deloris (Eddy) Hamilton, 80, of Monumental, passed away Tuesday (Sept. 3, 2013) at the Tygart Center at Fairmont Campus.

She was born July 15, 1933, in Fairmont, daughter of the late Kenneth and Ada (Wilson) Eddy of Grays Flat.

Mary was a graduate of Fairview High School, Class of 1951. She was formerly a switchboard operator for C&P Telephone, and owned and operated Grandma’s Bakery in Barrackville during the early 1980s. Mary, who was known as the “Cake Lady,” baked wedding cakes and birthday cakes and catered special events for many years, and was a member of the Barrackville Church of Christ for over 50 years. She recently celebrated her 80th birthday on July 14, at the Tygart Center surrounded by family and friends.

She is survived by one brother, Lenard Eddy and wife Pat of Fairview; one brother-in-law, Marvin Hamilton of McDonald, Ohio; four sons, Denzil Caroll Hamilton and wife Paula of Fairmont, Delane S. Hamilton and wife Pam of Grafton, Gregory L. Hamilton and wife Valerie of Monumental, and Kevin Scott Hamilton of Monumental; 10 grandchildren, Brandi Belleville and husband Bryan of Proctorville, Ohio, Brandon Hamilton of Fairmont, Michelle Moine and husband Nate of Clarksburg, Alissa Robinson and husband David of Clarksburg, Dane Hamilton of Grafton, Lauren Hamilton of Grafton, Mattie Conklin and husband Brody of Morgantown, Mariah Carpenter and husband Thomas of Monongahela, Pa., Casey Marks and husband Matt of Rivesville, and Brooke Hack and husband Josh of Morgantown; 10 great-grandchildren Reece and Gabby Belleville, Bryleigh Hamilton, Adalyn and Sadie Moine, Blake Robinson, Garrett Bosley, Quinn Marks, Avery Bland and Larson Hack. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Hamilton; a son, Theodore Blake Hamilton; and a grandson, Cullen Reece Hamilton.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont, from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, and noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Evangelist Steve Snider officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover.
