Robert “Bob” Grim, 72, of Sykesville, Md., died Tuesday (Nov. 20, 2012) at Seasons Hospice at Northwest in Randallstown.
Born Oct. 25, 1940, in Elk View, he was the son of the late Homer Newton Grim and the late Thelma Virginia Cunningham Grim. He was the husband of Sharon A. Cunningham Grim of Sykesville, Md.
He retired after 30 years with IBM. He was an active member of St. James UMC in West Friendship, Md., and was devoted to his family. He enjoyed woodworking and was a jack of all trades. He volunteered with CAMP HOPE for 26 years and served as a team leader for high school youth to do home repair as well as served as a board member and summer staff member.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter, Melissa Grim of Sykesville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Angie Grim of Sykesville; granddaughter, Katie Grim; and brother-in-law, Jerry Cunningham and his wife Dolores of Fairmont.
He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Eugene Cunningham, and by his mother-in-law, Gwen Cunningham.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at St. James United Methodist Church, Route 99 and Route 32, in West Friendship, Md. Interment will be in Mount View Cemetery, Marriottsville, Md.
Friends may call at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Md., from 3-7 p.m. Friday and at the church Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
