— Albert Wilson Boyce, 83, of Grafton, passed away Friday (Dec. 7, 2012) at Henry Clay Villa, Markleysburg, Pa.

He was born July 26, 1929 in Taylor County, a son of the late Emerson W. and Ivy Perky Boyce.

He is survived by his wife, Alice L. Bowman Boyce.

Albert retired from the Division of Highways, Taylor County, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean War, and was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. He loved to raise cattle and his special dog “Buddy.”

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Kathy Crook and husband Chris of Pasadena, Md.; one son, Charles Boyce of Grafton; two grandchildren, Angela Plumley and Joseph Plumley; six sisters, Rebecca Bavely of Arkansas, Betty Boylen and husband Russell, Olive Bolliger, Patrica Moats and husband Ed, and JoAnn Tucker and husband Al, all of Grafton, and Ida Moyer of Ohio; one brother, Robert Boyce and wife Diane of Grafton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys McVicker and Delores Loraine Boyce.

Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Dan Lowther officiating. Military graveside services will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post 3081, American Legion Taylor Post 12, Central West Virginia DAV Chapter 24 and their auxiliaries, and the West Virginia Army National Honor Guard of Camp Dawson.
