— Eileen Hayes Freeman, 83, of Enterprise, passed away at home on Friday (Jan. 11, 2013) with her loving family by her side.

She was born on Feb. 12, 1929, a daughter of the late Charles and Virginia Baber Hayes.

Eileen was married to Bryan J. Freeman, who preceded her in death in 2005.

Eileen is survived by her children, David B. and wife Cynthia Ann Gainer Freeman, Michael E. and wife Susan L. Freeman, Cristina S. Wagoner, Crystal L. Flannagan, Tina M. Looman and husband Duane, and Amanda E. Watson and husband Craig; her grandchildren, Michael E. Freeman II, Bryan E. Freeman and wife Jessica Weekly Freeman, Matthew A. Freeman and wife Wendy Stier Freeman, Sean A. Flannagan, Zachariah S. Murray, Christian, Zachariah and Dylan Leggett, Jonathan, Alex and Duane Looman III, Felicia R. Wagoner and Madison M. Freeman; great-grandchildren, Taryn Harley Freeman, Kylee Ann Freeman, Darby Belle Freeman, Payge Elyse Freeman, Izabella Denyse Freeman and Castiel E. Sendling; she is also survived by her sister, Doloras Nicholson, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Eileen was preceded in death by her brother- in-law, John Nicholson, and her nephew, John William “Nick” Nicholson II.

Eileen was one of the founders of the St. James Evangelical Church, now known as Family Life Fellowship. She was a 4-H leader of the Enterprise Mountaineers.

Eileen was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed her many roles at the church, which included being a Sunday School teacher, treasurer and caretaker of the nursery. Eileen was an Inspiration to everyone.

Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, Shinnston, on Monday from 1-9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Aaron Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.
