— Billie Frank Muto, 84, of Fairmont, passed away Sunday (Jan. 20, 2013) at the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown.

He was born Sept. 14, 1928 in Fairmont, a son of the late Carmin and Isabelle Sophia Lobuts Muto. He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Hennen Muto, who passed away Oct. 9, 2011.

Mr. Muto was a retired inspector for 30 years for the Borg-Warner Corp. of Sterling Heights, Mich. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fairmont and was a 1946 graduate of East Fairmont High School. Mr. Muto served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a former member of the VFW Post No. 629. He served as a volunteer at Fairmont General Hospital and was a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Marian Council 942 in Fairmont.

Mr. Muto is survived by his son, Joseph Muto and his wife Debbie of Fairmont; several nieces and nephews, Lillian Kester of Fairmont, Rocky and Susan Cikovich, Christine Park and her companion Abner Moyer of Fairmont, and Francine Cikovich of Fairmont; godson, John Kester III of Fairmont; and great-niece and two great-nephews, Tyler Park, Alec Moyer and McKenzie Moyer.

Friends and family may visit Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia St., Fairmont, from 6-8 p.m. today and from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday. A memorial service will be conducted in the funeral home by the Knights of Columbus, Marian Council 942, at 7 p.m. Tuesday. A Catholic vigil service will take place in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday with Sister Stella Cronauer, CSJ, officiating. A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Maryland Avenue, Fairmont, at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Father Bill Kuchinsky as celebrant. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
