Roger Leon Davis, 63, of Georgetown, Ky., passed away Sunday (Nov. 11, 2012) at UK Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
He was born in Fairmont on Sept. 8, 1949, the son of the late Layne Davis and Opal Arnett Davis.
He graduated from Monongah High School in 1967 and served in the Marines for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife, Paula; two daughters, Lisa and husband Rick Marsh of Tuxedo, N.Y., and Rebekka at home; one son, Keith of Springfield, Mo.; two grandchildren, Madison and Tyler Marsh; two sisters, Marlene Christopher and husband Tom of Boothsville, and Tammy Cochran and husband Mick of Adamsville; one brother, Jeffrey and wife Joyce of Moorefield; two sisters-in-law, Kay Davis of Koon’s Run and Sue Davis of Frances Mines; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathy; and two brothers, Eddie Davis and David Davis.
He was buried at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with full military honors in Lexington, Ky.
