Emma (Loyce) Vincent

Emma (Loyce) Morris Vincent, 92, of Fairmont, passed away Thursday evening (July 2, 2009) at The Arbors at Fairmont. Loyce was born in Jacksonburg, W.Va., on Nov. 16, 1916, a daughter of the late Thomas Morris and Etta Loyce Hart Morris.

She was a graduate of Jacksonburg High School. She was secretary for Nationwide Insurance and a member of the V.F.W. and Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliarly.

Loyce spent much of her time actively volunteering in many organizations throughout Fairmont. She enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader and loved her charity work. Loyce was loved by friends and family and she always had a kind word for everyone she met.

In addition to her parents, Loyce was preceded in death by her stepmother whom she dearly loved, Essie Hayes Morris; her husband, Glen E. Vincent; and three brothers: John, Thomas and Jerry Morris.

She is survived by her son, Glenn Mark Vincent of Fairmont; a sister, Libby Freeland of New Martinsville; a brother, Bobby Morris of Jacksonburg, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

At the request of the deceased, her body was donated to science. Her family wishes to thank Dr. Menez, staff, nurses, and aides at The Arbors at Fairmont for their kindness and care during a difficult time.

    Mildred Ellen Piscitelli, 93, a longtime resident of Fairmont, died Wednesday afternoon (May 5, 2010) at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston. 

    She was born on May 20, 1916, in Rowlesburg, daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Scalise Serian.

    William Wayne Hendershot, 82 of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday (May 6, 2010) at Crestview Manor at Jane Lew. 

    He was born Jan. 29, 1928, at Myersdale, Pa., a son of the late Samuel and Mary Myers Hendershot.

    She was born in Marion County on Aug. 5, 1947, a daughter of the late Arthur Lee Whinnie and Ernestine June Ridenour Yost.

    Fred was born Nov. 29, 1936, son of Beulah K. Hamrick, a resident of the Tygart Health Care Center in Fairmont, and the late Bilis L. Hamrick.

    Martin Ray Cochran, 74, of Pleasant Valley, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday (May 4, 2010) at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.

    He was born in Idamay on Feb. 2, 1936, the last surviving child born to the late John Edward Cochran and Mary Jane Keener Cochran.
