The Vocational Assessment Program Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning, organization and oversight of the TANF (WV Works) Vocational Assessment Program. This position is based in Morgantown but works statewide by training, providing technical support and supervising eight Vocational Assessment Specialists located around the state. The applicant must have a Master’s Degree in Social Services or Counseling with at least 2 years experience supervising employees in a social service setting related to the employment of people with disabilities. He/she must have at least five years experience providing direct service to individuals with disabilities who are seeking employment with a working knowledge of employment benefits, State and Federal incentives, SSI, SSDI, Social Security, WIB and regional WIA services and resources. The applicant must have the ability to travel extensively to parts of the state not accessible by public transportation. This is a full-time position located in Morgantown, reporting to the CED Associate Director, with a salary range of $43,200 to $44,400 plus 27% WVU Fringe Benefit Plan. The responsibilities of this position include preparing and delivering, at specific times, all necessary food and beverages for catered functions, such as recognition teas, coffee breaks, luncheons, and dinners held by the hospital.
