Times West Virginian
Not a single soul can wrap his or her head around the passing of time. Time is a valuable thing; we all watch it go as the pendulum swings. Each day, time is passing — the clock is running out.
For North Marion’s star golfer, Caleb Lee, that’s the way he was feeling, until one phone call changed his world forever.
The phone call? Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin asking Lee to take part in the Greenbrier Classic July 1-7.
“Words just don’t describe how big of an honor this is for me,” Lee said. “I’ve had a lot of hard work and dedication put into the game and finally for it to pay off and for the governor and his office to recognize me over this period of time, it’s finally paid off.”
This isn’t just your run of the mill tournament. The Greenbrier Classic is West Virginia’s only PGA Tour event.
