East’s James, Jacob Bolander have brotherly rivalry on the diamond

FAIRMONT — The Bash Brothers are back.

This time it isn’t the Mark McGwire-Jose Canseco duo — it’s East Fairmont’s James and Jacob Bolander.

The brothers were the Bees’ heart and soul on the mound this past season, while compiling seven total wins — four from Jacob and three from James.

Though the pair are brothers, unlike McGwire and Canseco, James is exactly 2.5 years older than Jacob. Meaning? James is going to be a senior this upcoming baseball season, while Jacob will be a sophomore.

With the age difference, this has created a heated brotherly rivalry — big brother versus little brother. Who’s going to be better?
