Uneven showing sinks Bees in loss to Indians

PLEASANT VALLEY — Only a handful of games remain in this boys’ basketball regular season, and East Fairmont is still trying to get all the pieces of the puzzle to fit.

Thursday night’s home matchup with Bridgeport brought more of the same, as the Bees displayed some good and a bit too much bad to rally past the Indians in a 48-41 conference loss.

For East (7-8, 6-7 in Big 10) the defeat is its fourth in the past five games. Bridgeport, meanwhile, has won nine of its past 10 and capped a regular season sweep of the Bees.

On Thursday, East was able to erase a double-digit deficit in the first half, only to see Bridgeport pull away late in the third as nearly fast as the Bees got back into the thick of things.
