FAIRMONT — For Fairmont Senior girls’ basketball, every moment is a learning opportunity.

Whether weekend practices or the fourth quarter of a blowout, it’s all a chance to get better. The same applies to losses, including Monday’s season-opener with Bridgeport where turnovers and constant fouling got in the way of a possible upset victory.

“You have to learn to make adjustments,” Fairmont Senior coach Corey Hines said.

After the first quarter, the Polar Bears had a 25-3 lead.
