Falcons wrap spring with Maroon-White tonight

FAIRMONT — For most local fans, tonight’s spring game marks not the beginning of a new era of Fairmont State football but a first glance.

And if nothing else, these 2013 Falcons will have a different look.

Mike Lopez is out after six years as head coach, and in his place is Farmington native and FSU graduate Jason Woodman, fresh off a run of success as an offensive coordinator at Bowie State.

Woodman brings with him a new system and a new way of doing things that he hopes will pay big dividends down the road.

But it all gets started at 7 p.m. today in the annual Maroon-White game at Duvall-Rosier Field.
