Lee shoots 77 at Greenbrier Classic

FAIRMONT — When you hear of golf, you think of names like Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Bubba Watson and of course the King of Nike — Tiger Woods.

When you think of golf, you think of a young Tiger Woods and his prowl at the Masters where he won the tournament by 12 strokes. He drilled eagle after eagle, while making it rain cash-dollars on the greens to add to his first of many major golf championship victories.

All of these greats have won, and all of these greats have nicknames — “Lefty” “Tiger” and “Bubba” — but for area golfing phenom, Caleb Lee, he is simply known as, “The Kid.”

Lee has been making a name for himself in high school, where he helped mold a North Marion golf team into one of the best teams in the state just a season ago.

Now that his career with the Huskies is over, his hard work was recognized on Wednesday morning at the Old White TPC at the Greenbrier Classic in White Sulphur Springs.
